Destekleme ve yetiştirme kurslarının öğrenci görüşlerine göre değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışma Destekleme ve Yetiştirme Kurslarının öğrenci görüşlerine göre değerlendirilmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan olgu bilim deseni kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veriler, yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile 2016-2017 eğitim öğretim yılı bittikten sonra toplanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2015-2016 eğitim – öğretim yılı ile 2016-2017 eğitim – öğretim yıllarında Nevşehir ili Kozaklı ilçesinde yer alan Kozaklı Halk Eğitim Merkezince açılan Destekleme ve Yetiştirme Kurslarına katılmış 10 erkek, 10 bayan toplam 20 mezun öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Verilerin analizi betimsel analiz yöntemi kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularında; kurslarla ilgili öğrenci görüşlerinin genel olarak olumlu olduğu ancak uygulamanın yeni olmasından kaynaklanan bazı sorunlara ilişkin olumsuz görüşlerinde ortaya çıktığı görülmektedir. Araştırma sonucunda; kursların öğrenciler tarafından tercih edilmesindeki en önemli nedenin üniversite sınavına hazırlanma, kursların ücretsiz ve yaşadıkları yerde açılmış olması sonuçları ortaya çıkmıştır. Öğrencilerin büyük çoğunlu idareci ve öğretmenlerle ilgili olumlu görüşlere sahiptir. Öğrenciler, sınıflardaki öğrenci sayısının az olmasını büyük bir avantaj olarak görmekte, buna karşın kursların açılma ve kapanma zamanları ile ders saatlerinin az olmasını eleştirmektedirler. Kazanım testleri ve deneme sınavlarının kalitesinin iyi olduğu ancak sayıca yetersiz olduğu yine çıkan sonuçlar arasındadır. Kursların öğrencilerin akademik başarılarını ve motivasyonlarını artırdığı, planlı ve programlı çalışma becerisi ile sosyalleşmelerine katkı sağladığı görülmektedir. Kursların kalitesinin artırılması ve geliştirilebilmesi için öğrenciler tarafından sunulan öneriler de yine dikkate değer sonuçlar arasında yer almaktadır. Araştırmada ortaya çıkan sonuçların başta Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı olmak üzere kurslar ile ilgili tüm paydaşlara yol gösterici olacağı düşünülmektedir.

This study was completed by aiming to evaluate Supporting and Training Courses considering the student opinions. The investigation was conducted using phenomenological pattern, one of the quantitative investigation methods. Data was collected after the completion of 2016-2017 academic year by half-constructed interview forms. The study group of investigation consist of 10 males and 10 females total 20 graduate students who attended Supporting and Training Courses at Kozaklı Public Education Center in Kozaklı province of Nevsehir between the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 academic years. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis method. In findings of the investigation; the student opinions are generally positive about courses but there are negative opinions about some problems due to newly conducted method. In results of the investigation, it was revealed that the most important reasons why these courses chosen by the students are the preparation for the university exam, free admission to the courses, and offered courses located within the neighborhood. Most of the students have positive opinions about the manager and teachers. Even though the students think that the number of students who attended the courses being less is a big advantage, they criticize the course starting and finishing hours and less course hours. It is also concluded from the results that the quality of learning outcome tests and practice tests seems good but the number of these tests is less. It is seen that these courses increase the academic achievements and motivations, and help the socialization of the students with their planned and organized studying ability. To increase and improve the quality of the courses, suggestions from the students are also significant part of the results. It is believed that the results of this study be guidance firstly to Ministry of National Education then to all shareholders related with these courses.
