Abstract
To be a society in a high level Professional self-respect needs teachers indicate respect their profession in classroom setting. Bases of responsibility consciouses have been taught in the schools and applied models and approaches about classroom management are important at the built-in this conscious. The aim of this study was to define the relation between approach of Responsible Classroom Management (RCM) and Professional Self-Respect (PSR) by opinions of primary school teachers. Universe of research was 338 primary schools in 2006-2007 academic years in Silivri/Istanbul. Seventeen primary schools were closed in order to consist of sampling group via cluster sampling method. 129 teachers were take part in sample. Two scales of RCM and PSR were developed by researchers. Findings were discussed on the base of literature.
