Competencies of social studies teachers' about utilizing from questions in in-class teaching (the sample of Kırşehir) [Sosyal bilgiler öğretmeninin sınıf içi öğretimde sorulardan yararlanma yeterlikleri (Kırşehir örnegi)]
Abstract
Identifying the competencies of social sciences teachers' about utilizing from questions in in-class teaching process forms the basic problem of this study. Determining the problems that teachers face when utilizing from the questions during the teaching process has been intended. Research is a descriptive study. Teachers' competencies of utilizing from questions were gathered by an observation and evaluation form. Observation was done by last grade students. Arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t test, one-way variance analysis and Scheffe test were applied on data. After the study; it was detected that social sciences teachers have some problems about the competence of preparing questions, asking questions and giving feedback. In addition, a meaningful and positive relationship was found among sub dimensions of utilizing from questions. Professional seniority of social sciences teachers affects their capacity of utilizing from questions. But knowledge level and class level of students don't affect teachers' capacity of utilizing from questions. Achieved results were discussed and some suggestions were improved in order to utilize from questions more effectively during the teaching process.
