The aim of the study is to determine the reflections of mind games on various characteristics of students and the views of the teacher performing the application on this process. For this purpose, the opinions and observations of the teacher who played mind games for the second grade students were used. The research was conducted in the action research design of the qualitative research method. In the application stage of the research, students played the intelligence games for a total of 20 lesson hours during 10 weeks under the control of the classroom teacher. The interview method was used to collect the data, and the interview form developed by the researcher and the observation notes taken by the teacher during the action process were used to determine the views and observations of the classroom teacher. The obtained data was analyzed by content analysis method. According to the results obtained from the research, classroom teacher stated that mind games positively affect students' self-confidence, communication, empathy, thinking skills and collaborative working areas, enable them to participate actively and increase their motivation. It was concluded that the students experienced a feeling of failure when they were defeated in the game and tried to cope with it. © 2020, Milli Egitim. All Rights Reserved.
