Letter to the editor: switching to biosimilars in ophthalmology: promise, pitfalls, and the path forward

Abstract

Dear Editor, We read with great interest the paper entitled ‘Switchingto biosimilars in ophthalmology: promise, pitfalls, and thepath forward’ by Sharma and Kupperman. The authorsreported promises of biosimilar drugs, the challenges inimplementation and the path to achieving safe and wide-spread acceptance. In the paper, remarkable hurdles,encountered in the decision-making process for switchingto biosimilar drugs, were mentioned.
