Özet

Nanotechnology is a major scientific area that has important potential to produce innovative material and this technology especially shows itself in biomedical research. Bionanocomposites occur with conjugates of biopolymers and nanoparticles and they are synthesized using various techniques, we met them a few years ago. Bionanocomposites have been preferred in medical sciences such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), biosensor, drug delivery due to their biodegradability, biocompatibility, and nontoxicity. In recent decades, bionanocomposites play an important and critical role in our lives. Bionanocomposites allow to eliminate the toxicity of nanoparticles synthesized with toxic components such as toxic heavy metals, petroleum products, and in this way, they can be used safely in many areas without harming nature and human health. This chapter discusses the impact of bionanocomposites on human health. © 2022 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
