A BIBLIOGRAPHY OF STUDIES CARRIED OUT ON CONKS

Abstract

Conks, which complete their formation and improvement in folk and which can carry marvellous accumulations in their contents until today, are among the most valuable literary and cultural heritage of Turkish culture. In addition to generally comprising folk poets' poems and partly comprising poems of poets belonging to Classical Literature, Conks are of source for different branches of literature like Minstrel Literature, Sufi Literature, Folk Literature, and Folklore and Classical Literature. Also, these writings reflect language features, literature pleasure and cultural facilities of the term in which they are collected. So much work has been carried out on Conks up to now, which are one of the most important written sources of Turkish literature. In each of the works done, Conks have been revised and dealt with in terms of different branches like shape, content and significance. In this work, with the aim of providing help for research to be done in the field of Conk, a bibliography essay has been prepared, which contains studies done about Conks. In this prepared bibliography, identifications of works in whose names the word Conk directly takes place are included. Identifications included in bibliography are classified under the headline of Books, Thesis, Essays and Dictionary/Encyclopedian Items, structured depending on APA source which is an international citation method and have been alphabetically listed based on writers' surnames.
