Özet
Cancer is affecting the health of the community, and it is causing a death rate in many countries around the world. The agent used in the treatment of cancer should have ideal properties in order to be effective in the treatment of cancer. Chemotherapy drugs are used to treat various cancers. However, many of these agents exhibit nonspecific systemic toxicity that reduces their therapeutic efficacy. FDA-approved chemotherapeutic drugs need a newer drug delivery system due to their poor pharmacokinetic properties. Nanotechnology has proven to be an emerging trend in the field of medicine by providing new modalities of cancer treatment. Different nanocarriers have the potential to deliver drugs to the desired location for a better understanding of cancer diagnosis and treatment. This chapter highlights different carbon nanotubes and dendrimers for the treatment of pancreatic cancer. This platform increases the understanding of tumor treatment with promising uses of nanotechnology.
