Özet
Drought is a natural disaster that negatively affects living life. This natural hazard can affect the development of agricultural products and cause a decrease in productivity. In this study, using cloud-free Landsat 8 OLI satellite images of Kırşehir between 2013 and 2023, Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), Normalized Difference Humidity Index (NDMI) and Ground Surface Temperature (YYS) were calculated and agricultural results of the study area were determined according to years. It was aimed to determine the drought change. A total of 58 satellite images from 2013-2023 were used in the study. NDVI, NDMI and YYS were applied to each satellite image in the ArcGIS program and maps were created. The average of the calculated values on a yearly basis was also taken. The areas covered by the used indices in the study area were calculated and graphs were created. According to NDVI values, there is an increasing trend in the rate of healthy plants between 2013 and 2023. Although there are fluctuations in high humidity according to NDMI values, an increasing trend is observed. There are also low fluctuations in ground surface temperature compared to YYS values. It is seen that high humidity and low ground surface temperature in the study area are parallel to healthy vegetation. In addition, Hirfanlı Dam and Seyfe Lake, located within the study area, generally affected the averages because they indicate high humidity, low ground surface temperature and lands devoid of vegetation. Since the study area is a semi-arid area, increases and decreases in these indices will continue in the future. Therefore, the change in indices should continue to be monitored. This is especially important for the agricultural sector.
