Ergenlik dönemi öğrencilerinin okuma alışkanlıkları

Abstract

Bu çalışma ergenlik dönemi içerisinde bulunan 8, 9, 10, 11 ve 12. sınıf öğrencilerinin boş zamanlarında okuma alışkanlıklarını belirlemek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın bulguları 2009-2010 eğitim- öğretim yılının birinci döneminde Kırşehir il merkezindeki farklı sosyo-ekonomik düzeyden ilköğretim ve ortaöğretim öğrencilerine anket uygulanarak elde edilmiştir. Anket çalışması 627 öğrenciye uygulanmıştır. Bulgular kısmı öğrencilerin ankete verdikleri cevapların frekans (f), yüzde (%), aritmetik ortalama (X) ve standart sapma (ss) değerleri kullanılarak oluşturulmuştur. Bulguların bir kısmı şu şekilde özetlenebilir: Örneklemdeki öğrencilerin 239’u kız, 388’i erkek öğrencilerden oluşmaktadır. Elde edilen verilere göre kız öğrencilerin okuma sıklıklarının erkek öğrencilere göre daha fazla olduğu; anne-baba eğitim düzeyinin okuma sıklığını artırdığı, 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin 11 ve 12. sınıf öğrencilerine göre daha fazla okuduğu tespit edilmiştir.

This study was carried out in order to understand the reading habits of 8th, 9th,10th,11th and 12th grade students ( in their free times) who are in their adolescence period. These findings were gathered by applying the questionnaires on secondary and high school students coming from different socio- economic classes, in the first term of the of the 2009-2010 Academic Year in Kirsehir.This study included 627 students. Results part were designed according to the frequency(F) percentage(%), arithmetic mean and standart deviation of the responses given by students.Some of the results can be summed up in this way: '' 239 of the subjects were girls and 388 of them were boys. Our findings implies that reading frequency of the female students are greater than the male ones' reading frequency, parents' training level promote reading frequency and 8th grade studets read much more than the 11th and12th grade students.
